Job Overview:
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Administrative Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to our office and ensuring that our day-to-day operations run smoothly. Manages front desk operations, checking patients in/out, insurance eligibility, and appointment scheduling. Works directly with families at the front desk to support their engagement and
continued services with Unity Health. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is looking to develop their skills in office management.
Responsibilities:
– Provide exceptional customer service, answering phone calls and responding to inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
– Manage and maintain accurate records, including patient files, schedules, and other administrative documents.
-Prepares program activity reports as needed.
– Represent UHM at community outreach events.
-Abides with all HIPAA rules and regulations.
-Ensure medical office is clean and maintained at all times and meets hygiene standards.
-Type correspondence, reports, memos, and forms as requested by physicians and/or administration.
– Utilize computerized systems to manage and organize tasks and data.
– Focus on reception duties, including greeting visitors and answering phone calls.
– Perform data entry and other administrative tasks as needed.
– Maintain office supplies and equipment.
– Ensure all administrative tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
Qualifications:
– High school diploma or equivalent required.
– Previous experience in an administrative role or as a medical receptionist.
– or multilingual skills are an asset.
– Strong office management skills.
– Excellent customer service skills.
– Proficient in computer systems and software, including phone systems.
– Ability to learn and apply new skills quickly.
– Strong organizational and time management skills.
– Excellent proofreading and attention to detail skills.
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
– Can be trusted with confidential information.
– Previous medical office experience preferred with some managerial background.
– Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, volunteer staff and general public.
-Two years of related experience in office management preferably in the health care field
